![]() It seems like the PCM level had no influence at all. Interestingly, it did not matter, if if raised the PCM level to the maximum or the minimum, the low volume level of the microphone remained exactly the same. Next, I tried to change the PCM level and nothing changed. How do I determine, if I have digital/analog input/output? Here I can select between "Digital Stereo (IEC9558) Output + Analog Stereo Input" and "Analog Stereo Output + Digital Stereo (IEC958) Input". I think, I need to select a profile, which has a certain type of input (mono microphone) and output (stereo output sound). In the section CM-Q3 I can choose between different profiles. If I blow directly against the microphone, the input volume goes up to the maximum of the input-volume-bar.Īnother thing I found at pavucontrols is, that I am not sure about the correct configuration in the "configuration" tab. ![]() I can oberve the input volume of the microphone in pavucontrol which jumps around in the first millimeter (silence section) of the green input-volume-bar, if I am talking on normally. I just tried to set the right channel slider to zero, but this does not change the behaviour. Maybe I overlooked to most important settings)ĭid anybody face a similar issue or have some idea that could help? I would really appreciate your help Thanks a lot in advance.įirst, I would introduce the exact model of my headphone/microphone I am using. I tried to play around with PulseAudio Volume Control. Maybe I overlooked to most important settings) I tried to play around with alsamixer, but without success. So I had to install pulseaudio and cinnamon again on behalf of the command line. (Really bad idea, on the next boot the screen went all black. Someone suggested to unistall pulseaudio in a forum, so i did this. It does not matter, if I use MS teams, Zoom, a voice recorder, etc. The problem is not application specific, it's a general problem. (Maybe this was my fault, since I played with the settings to fix my USB-C microphone/headphone.) The internal microphone of the notebook seems like to have a gain much too high. Another microphone/headphone with a jack-plug works just fine. I have a dualboot setup with linux mint/windows 10 and it works fine in windows 10. Let me give you a short description about the problem I am facing right now:Ĭurrently, the volume of the microphone is very low and other members in a conference cannot hear me. I unplugged the microphone/headphone at some time and I think this caused the problem, but I am not sure what's the reason. I am facing the problem, that my USB-C microphone/headphone was working perfectly fine until yesterday.
